Based in Sierra Leone, AdvocAid has a small team of paralegals, duty counsel lawyers, project officers, education officers and assistants who together, ensure that girls and women in Sierra Leone have access to free legal aid and know and can assert their legal rights.

New Role: Executive Director

The Executive Director will lead and oversee all aspects of AdvocAid’s work in Sierra Leone. Key areas of responsibility include the day-to-day management of the organisation and the team, leading fundraising and the successful implementation of donor funded projects, supporting and developing AdvocAid’s legal, research, advocacy and campaign work and being the voice and heart of AdvocAid both in Sierra Leone and internationally.

New Role: Development Intern

AdvocAid are recruiting a Development Intern to assist with fundraising, communications, capacity building and programme support. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for women’s rights to learn and support our dedicated team. As part of this job, you will visit Correctional Centres, juvenile remand homes and police stations, in order to build a bank of case studies, and to fully understand AdvocAid’s vital and life-changing work.

Our team will help you to shape the internship around your own interests personal skill set.
